AMD-powered Vizio Slate

Vizio has only been in the pc market a few months, and they have already made a very nice, goodlooking windows 8 tablet! This tablet is called the Vizio Slate.

The last weeks, after the release of windows 8, we've seen a lot of new Windows tablets but a lot of them are running Windows RT. Windows RT is a 'light' version of Windows 8, you can only download apps from the store and not from any other websites.
This tablet runs on full Windows 8, which I think is very good! Because of it's amazing 1920x1080 pixels 11.6” display, this tablet is powered by a AMD chip. This is because, according to Vizio, Intel has no chip good enough to power that display. The Slate has a dual-core 1Ghz processor, 2GB Ram, 64 solid-state-storage, Micro HDMI and Micro USB ports and a 2MP front-facing camera.

This tablet seems very promising to me because it is running on the full, clean version of Windows 8. Something we haven’t seen a lot in the past weeks! You can connect a keyboard and mouse with Bluetooth.
Because of these things, I think this tablet looks like a good pc alternative for those who use their pc only to browse the web.

Vizio debuts its first Windows 8 tablet, an 11inch slate with a 1080p display, AMD processor
